As part of the project “Let’s get to know our neighbours.” Restoration of the sightseeing trail between Velký Šenov, Mikulášovice and Vilémov“ we have renewed the way betwwen the stations Mikulášovice dolní nádraží and Lipová nádraží.
We have cut free and and smoothened a way, which has not been used in a long time. It shortens the distance between the villages and avoids the highly frequented roads. The tourist association has equipped the track with yellow signs.
The newly built asian sightseeing trail has developed into a meeting place and also serves for recreation and education. Six information boards are presenting topics about culture and everyday life in asian countries. They are corresponding to the elements of the educational complex Thonmi z.s. and they are guiding the walkers to the construction site of a tibetan house, a mongolian ovoo and yurt, a meadow with yaks, a buddhist stupa and a Tandor oven made of clay. The text on the boards is also translated to german. Children can collect workpapers in information centres and local facilities.
On the boards you can also find QR-Codes which guide you to our website. You can find information about the elements of the path there.
We are planing to extend the path in the future and organise periodical events for the public. We want to offer asian inspired games along the way all year long, which you and your company can play as you go along.
